WiredOnHonda.com had an opportunity to hang out with the guys from ASRParts (you know them from the sub-frame braces they make for Honda/Acura makes) and test our RSX-S on the Big Willow track with ExtremeSpeed Track Events.
There were over 100 registrants for this event – cars ranging anywhere from Toyota Celica, to highly modified race cars brought in their trailers and to exotics like Ferrari and the Audi R8. After our 8am driver’s meeting we split up into 3 groups: beginner, intermediate and advanced. These groups were not based on the type of car you drive or how much HP your Ferrari produces but how well you can handle your car on the track.
Charlston, owner of ASR, brought in his stock (minus suspension mods) 99-01 Civic and pretty much tore it up on the track passing Evos, Subarus, G35s, Porches and others, proving that even a 130hp car is fierce in the hands of an experienced driver.
So moral of the story, doesn’t matter the type of car you have – just come out to the track and have fun! We will be attending more track events with ExtremeSpeed Track Events and ASRparts so be sure to check the schedule and join us there!
For now check out the photos from the event:
